IBM Power11
IBM's current generation of Power processor and server hardware, announced July 8, 2025 and generally available July 25, 2025, carrying forward Power10's on-chip Matrix Math Acceleration and becoming the first Power generation to support the IBM Spyre Accelerator card.
IBM announced Power11 on July 8, 2025, with general availability July 25, 2025, its first major Power refresh since Power10. The launch lineup spanned the full-rack Power E1180 (up to 256 cores, 64 TB of DDR5 memory), the midrange Power E1150 (up to 120 cores, 16 TB), and the Power S1124 and S1122 (up to 60 cores, 8 TB and 4 TB), plus IBM Power Virtual Server on IBM Cloud; the entry-level Power S1112 followed a year later, in July 2026. Every Power11 core carries forward the Matrix Math Acceleration IBM introduced in Power10, and Power11 is the first Power generation qualified to run the PCIe4 Spyre Accelerator card, which reached general availability for Power11 in early December 2025. For IBM i, Power11 requires IBM i 7.6 with the Power11 GA PTF Group, 7.5 Technology Refresh 6, or 7.4 Technology Refresh 12, and its launch moved the P20 and P30 IBM i software tiers to subscription-only licensing.

A PCIe4 AI inferencing card IBM ships for IBM Z, LinuxONE and Power11 systems to offload generative and agentic AI workloads from the main processor. On Power11 it is driven from a Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Red Hat OpenShift AI partition, and as of September 2026 IBM has not documented a way to use it from an IBM i partition.
IBM Power S1112
IBM's entry-level, single-socket Power11 server, announced July 15, 2026 and generally available July 24, 2026, built for edge and branch AI inferencing with on-chip Matrix Math Acceleration. It is the first Power11 machine available in IBM i's low-cost P05 software tier.

IBM's operating system for Power servers running traditional AS/400-lineage business applications, with Db2 for i built directly into the OS.
Power Autonomous Operations
Power Autonomous Operations is IBM's AI agent for the Power systems underneath IBM i. It monitors, diagnoses and resolves capacity issues. GA September 23, 2026.
